CHULA VISTA, CA – A man was injured Thursday morning and crashing down a ravine in Chula Vista, the Times of San Diego reports.
The accident occurred around 6:45 a.m. on northbound I-805 near Telegraph Canyon road. His Nissan traveled more than 400 feet from the highway before coming to a stop.
When first responders arrived they treated him on the scene before transporting him to the hospital. The severity of his injuries has not been reported.
The victim had fallen asleep at the wheel before the crash. Police do not believe alcohol was a factor.
