Motorcyclist dies following wrong-way collision on Torrey Pines Rd

LA JOLLA, CA – According to CNS, a motorcyclist died after colliding head-on with a driver at 11900 Torrey Pines Rd Monday.

A 55-year-old motorcyclist riding a Triumph motorcycle was heading south on Torrey Pines Rd when he strayed into oncoming traffic and collided with a northbound Toyota 4-Runner.

Rescue crews pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene of the accident. Neither the driver nor the passenger in the 4-runner was hurt in the incident.

The incident is under investigation by the police.
