SAN DIEGO, CA – One person died, and three people went to the hospital Sunday after two vehicles collided on a busy roadway in Chollas View, reports CBS 8.
The incident happened around 1 p.m. in the area of 4500 Market Street, between I-805 and 47th Street.
Police have not yet commented on how the accident happened but have said that it involved a Lexus SUV and an older sedan.
Emergency crews used the Jaws of Life to extricate at least three people from the sedan. They also performed CPR on one patient.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim, nor have they commented on the condition of the three patients that went to the hospital.
A full investigation is underway.
