News: 2-vehicle DUI crash injures 2 on I-5SB near Sea World Dr

SAN DIEGO, CA – Medics transported two people to the hospital Sunday evening after two vehicles collided along the freeway near Mission Bay, reports NG Scoop.

The incident happened around 6:24 p.m. on the southbound side of I-5 near Sea World Drive, which is just east of Fiesta Island Park.

Police have not yet released many details regarding the collision. They say a tow truck and a BMW were involved and that one of the parties was driving under the influence.

Both drivers went to the hospital, and one sustained serious injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
