SAN DIEGO, CA – A 30-year-old pedestrian went to the hospital Sunday night after a car struck him at a busy intersection near Pacific Beach, reports Fox 5.
The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of Thomas Avenue and Mission Boulevard, which is just southwest of Pacific Beach Marketplace.
The investigation thus far suggests that a southbound Nissan Altima struck the pedestrian as he was crossing the street. The man sustained non-critical injuries to his spine and leg.
Authorities arrested the 60-year-old driver of the Nissan on DUI charges.
