SAN DIEGO CO., CA – A deadly crash shut down multiple lanes on I-5 near Carlsbad on Monday night.
According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, the incident occurred near the exit to Carlsbad Village Drive at about 9:20 p.m.
Witnesses told troopers two passenger vehicles and a semi-truck were involved.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. It is unclear at this time if anyone else was injured as a result. At least two lanes on the freeway were blocked while crews worked to clear the scene.
