SAN DIEGO, CA – A 57-year-old woman went to the hospital Tuesday after losing control of her bike and crashing in northwest San Diego, reports Fox 5 San Diego.
The incident happened just before 3:30 p.m. in the vicinity of 10300 Aero Drive, which is just east of I-15, or the Escondido Freeway.
The circumstances of the crash are unclear, but authorities say the woman was hospitalized with serious head trauma after falling from the bicycle.
At this time, it does not appear that any motor vehicles were involved in the accident, though police are encouraging anyone with information to share about the crash to contact the San Diego Police Department.
