News: Crash at  Gold Coast and Black Mountain cuts gas line in Mira Mesa

SAN DIEGO, CA – A Mira Mesa car accident involving two or three vehicles caused a gas lead at a condo complex on Wednesday afternoon, reports NBC 7 San Diego.

The incident happened around 3:18 p.m. near the intersection of Gold Coast Drive and Black Mountain Road, which is adjacent to Hourglass Community Park.

The investigation indicates that two or three vehicles collided in the intersection, causing a black SUV to strike a gas meter. The collision with the gas meter then caused a leak in the line.

Officials evacuated three complexes in the Quail Creek Condo Association. They ended the evacuation around 6:45 p.m.

Medics transported one person to the hospital with injuries from the crash. The severity of their injuries is unknown at this time.

A full investigation is underway.
