The things you do in the moments, days, and weeks after a traffic accident can have a serious effect on not only your health, but your ability to pursue compensation from the at-fault party. First, collect evidence at the scene, including photos and videos, if possible. Next, make sure you and your passengers are all right, then exchange contact information with the other driver. Contact emergency responders so that police can make a report of the incident and paramedics can address any immediate injuries. Be sure to seek medical attention if you’re not transported from the scene, as you could be suffering from injuries you aren’t yet aware of. Finally, contact a San Diego car accident lawyer from HHJ Trial Attorneys to find out if you could be owed money. We can be reached online or by phone at 1-888-50-LAWFIRM.
