SAN MARCOS, CA – According to FOX 5 San Diego, a driver died after he drove off the eastbound off-ramp from CA 78 to Barham Dr Monday.
A 35-year-old male was driving a Mazda MX5 when he went the road and crashed into a freeway sign, chain link fence, and an embankment around 11:13 a.m.
Rescue crews pronounced the driver dead at the scene of the accident.
The incident is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
