News: Driver fatally collides with tree on Wildcat Canyon Rd

LAKESIDE, CA – According to CNS, a female driver died after striking a tree on Wildcat Canyon Road near Muth Valley Road Sunday.

The woman was driving a BMW 325i north on Wildcat Canyon Rd when she strayed off the road and slammed into a tree. The driver then exited the BMW before it caught on fire.

Rescue crews pronounced the driver dead at the scene of the accident.

The incident is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
