News: Driver fatally strikes woman walking her dog in Poway

POWAY, CA – According to FOX 5, a driver struck and killed a woman walking her dog near Edgemore St and Midland Rd Saturday.

The 35-year-old male driver failed to yield the right of way to the 69-year-old pedestrian and her dog and hit her around 9 a.m.

Rescue crews transported the woman to an area hospital, where she died.

Authorities do not believe the driver was impaired at the time of the collision.
