SAN DIEGO CO., CA – A driver fled the scene after crashing into a Chula Vista home following a brief police chase on Monday morning.
According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, officers attempted to stop the suspect near the Chula Vista Marina at about 1:30 a.m. The vehicle sped down Broadway, causing police to initiate a pursuit.
Moments after the case began, the driver was caught in a cul-de-sac on Arizona Street. He put the car in reverse, hitting a police vehicle before slamming into a nearby home.
The suspect exited the vehicle and fled on foot, leaving his female passenger behind.
Fortunately, no one inside the home was seriously injured in the crash.
