SAN DEIGO, CA – Emergency crews were called to Mission Bay when a vehicle crashed into the water early this morning.
According to KGTV, the unidentified river was heading home when he lost control of his vehicle on Crown Pont drive and went into the bay.
The driver was able to self-extricate and swim back to shore. Rescue crews searched the water for passengers, but none were found.
The cause of the crash is unclear at this time. However, the driver admitted to drinking prior to the incident.
