CORONADO, CA – A 25-year-old woman was killed on Friday morning in a crash caused by a DUI driver, NBC San Diego reports.
The crash occurred around 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of Orange Avenue and 10th Street. A 20-year-old man was driving under the influence when he lost control of his vehicle on a turn and crashed into a light post.
The victim was riding in the back seat of that vehicle and suffered fatal injuries. The driver and a passenger in the front seat, a 20-year-old woman, were also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver was later arrested for DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter.
