SAN DIEGO, CA – A man was fatally struck by a vehicle while riding his electric wheelchair in La Jolla on Saturday afternoon.
According to NBC San Diego, the 90-year-old man was riding in the 6600 block of La Jolla Boulevard near the intersection with Rosemont Street at about 4:30 p.m. when he was hit.
The unidentified man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died a short time later.
The driver of the vehicle, an 80-year-old woman, remained at the scene and cooperated with officers.
