PINE VALLEY, CA – No injuries were reported when two 18-wheelers overturned in high-wind conditions on the interstate in Pine Valley last Thursday, reports Fox 5 San Diego.
The incident happened in the morning on the westbound side of I-8 at Crestwood Road, which is near La Posta Tribal Police Department.
Officials closed the interstate in this area while crews worked to clear the scene. Additionally, due to high winds, authorities prohibited high-profile vehicles, such as pickup trucks, RVs, and semis, from travelling on I-8 for several hours on Thursday.
According to Caltrans, the eastbound lanes of the interstate re-opened around 1:18 p.m., and the westbound lanes re-opened around 2:38 p.m.
