News: Man hurt after crashing stolen motorcycle in Otay Mesa

SAN DIEGO, CA – A man went to the hospital with serious injuries Friday night after stealing a motorcycle and then crashing into another vehicle in Otay Mesa, reports The San Diego Union-Tribune.

The incident occurred sometime after 11:20 p.m. in the area of Avenida Cosa Norte and Airway Road, which is not far from California’s border with Mexico.

The investigation indicates that two men stole the motorcycle from another man at a street-racing event. One of the two men left the scene with the motorcycle and then crashed into a Chevrolet Suburban.

Police arrested the man before taking him to the hospital. It is unclear if anyone else sustained injuries in the crash.
