News: Mira Mesa hit-and-run leaves motorcyclist injured

MIRA MESA, CA – A 25-year-old motorcyclist was injured after a hit-and-run in Mira Mesa on Tuesday, ABC 10 News reports. 

The accident occurred around 6 a.m. on Tuesday morning near the intersection of Mira Mesa Boulevard and Reagan Road.

The victim was approaching the intersection when a Toyota 4Runner swerved through three lanes of traffic into the path of the motorcycle. Despite braking, the motorcyclist was unable to avoid striking the back of the Toyota.

He was briefly pinned against the rear windshield of the vehicle before he fell to the pavement. The driver of the Toyota, a young woman, stopped briefly to survey the damage to her vehicle before fleeing the scene.

The victim sustained a concussion and several other non-life-threatening injuries.
