News: Motorcyclist fleeing Carlsbad police fatally strikes cyclist

CARLSBAD, CA – A cyclist was killed in Carlsbad after being struck by a motorcyclist who was fleeing police, ABC 10 News reports. 

Local police attempted to pull over a motorcyclist for excess speed and reckless operation of the motorcycle on Monday afternoon. The suspect fled the officers and struck a cyclist near the intersection of Carlsbad Boulevard and Palomar Airport Road.

The motorcyclist and their passenger were hospitalized with serious injuries.
