News: Motorcyclist in critical condition after Kearny Mesa crash

KEARNY MESA, CA – A motorcyclist is in critical condition after being struck by a truck in Kearny Mesa, KUSI reports.

The accident occurred around 11 p.m. on Sunday June 26th. The victim, a 27-year-old man riding a Suzuki GSxR, was in the right lane of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard when a 53-year-old man in a Penske truck attempted to make a right turn in front of him. 

The truck struck the motorcycle, leaving its rider with life-threatening injuries. He lost all feeling and blood flow below his waist and sustained injuries to his lungs. 

Further updates on his condition are not currently available. 

Police do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
