News: Motorcyclist injured in DUI crash on SR-76 in Oceanside

OCEANSIDE, CA – A motorcyclist went to a trauma center Monday after an alleged DUI driver struck him on a highway in Oceanside, reports The San Diego Union-Tribune.

The incident happened just before 6:15 p.m. on the eastbound side of SR-76 near Benet Road, which is between Canyon Drive and Foussat Road.

Medics transported the male motorcyclist to the hospital with serious injuries. 

Authorities arrested the 67-year-old driver of the vehicle on a charge of driving under the influence.

A full investigation is underway.
