ESCONDIDO, CA – A crash involving multiple vehicles blocked the southbound lanes of I-15 at West Valley Parkway in Escondido on Thursday, reports Caltrans San Diego.

The incident happened sometime around 10:34 a.m. just north of the Escondido Promenade.
The southbound lanes of I-15 remained closed until around 11:23 a.m. while crews worked to clear the scene. All lanes re-opened around that time.
It’s still unclear how the collision happened and if anyone sustained injuries. Our team will share updates if and when we learn more about the circumstances of the accident.
