News: Multi-vehicle crash in Mission Valley leaves 1 dead

SAN DIEGO, CA – A fiery multi-vehicle crash in Mission Valley claimed the life of at least one person on Sunday night.

According to the Times of San Diego, the crash happened in the northbound lanes of SR-163 near the exit to Friars Road at about 10:17 p.m.

Investigators say two-vehicles collided, causing one to crash over the side of the roadway and into an embankment. The vehicle then continued through a chain-link fence before hitting Extra Space Storage on Frazee Road.

One person died at the scene. It is unclear if anyone else suffered injuries in the wreck.

The steps you take after a crash can significantly affect not only your health and wellbeing but also your ability to secure financial compensation. The first thing to do is pull off to the side of the road, if possible. Second, check if everyone in your vehicle is all right and contact local authorities. Don’t forget to gather whatever evidence you can while at the scene, such as photos and videos. Once that is done, be sure to exchange contact information with any other drivers involved and contact local law enforcement if you have not yet done so.
