SAN DIEGO, CA – According to KGTV, multiple drivers struck and killed a pedestrian at I-5 and Sampson St Thursday.
A 55-year-old male was driving a Lexus when he hit the pedestrian around 10:43 p.m.
Following the collision, the Lexus driver remained at the scene of the accident.
Authorities do not believe the Lexus driver was impaired during the accident. They are waiting for a toxicology report from the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine if the pedestrian was impaired.
Authorities have not released the name of the victim.
The incident is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
