News: Multiple injured in downtown San Diego accident

SAN DIEGO, CA – Multiple people are injured following a crash in downtown San Diego early Wednesday morning.

According to San Diego Union Tribune, the crash occurred around 5:30am at the intersection of Fourth Avenue and Ash Street. One driver was traveling the wrong way on Ash Street when they colliding with an oncoming vehicle, causing the first vehicle to overturn.

When police responded to the crash, the driver of the overturned vehicle punched the officers and fled. They were quickly apprehended and taken to a local hospital to be evaluated.
