LA MESA, CA – A Monday night police chase ended when a driver hit a parked vehicle and a fence just west of Heartland Fire and Rescue Station in La Mesa, reports Times of San Diego.
The incident happened around 10 p.m. near Blue Lake Drive and East Lake Drive, which is also close to La Mesita Park.
Police say they pursued a speeding driver, who ran several stop signs before the crash occurred. The driver then fled the scene on foot, and authorities are still searching for them.
No injuries have been reported thus far in connection to the crash. A full investigation is underway.
