News: North County crash leaves motorcyclist dead

NORTH COUNTY, CA – A motorcyclist was killed in an accident in North County on Tuesday afternoon near Fallbrook, Fox 5 San Diego reports. 

The accident occurred near the intersection of East Mission Road and Via Zancas. The victim, a man from Escondido, was riding east on a red Honda CTX motorcycle when he lost control of his motorcycle, entered the westbound lanes, and struck a white Mercedes C250.

The victim was seriously injured and rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. It is not clear what caused him to lose control. Police do not believe drugs or alcohol were involved.
