News: Officials ID woman killed in auto vs. pedestrian collision in Poway

POWAY, CA – According to KGTV, officials have released the name of the woman who was struck and killed by a driver at Edgemoor St and Midland on Dec. 3.

The driver, a 35-year-old male, was making a left turn and failed to yield the right of way to Uyeki when he hit her around 9 a.m.

Rescue crews transported Uyeki to an area hospital, where she later died.

Authorities do not believe impairment played a role in the collision. They urge anyone with information concerning the incident to contact them.
