SAN DIEGO, CA – Major traffic delays were reported after a semi-truck overturned on I-15 in Mission Valley early Tuesday afternoon.
According to NBC San Diego, the crash occurred in the northbound lanes of the freeway just south of I-8 at about 12:30 p.m.
We do not know what caused the truck, which was carrying dirt and metal, to overturn. However, major delays were reported in the area for at least two hours afterward.
Investigators believe heavy rainfall in the area could be a factor in the crash.
It is unclear at this time if anyone was injured in the crash.
