SAN DIEGO, CA – A man died Sunday evening after a vehicle struck him just west of the interstate in Fairmount Park before fleeing the scene, reports The San Diego Union-Tribune.
The incident happened sometime before 10 p.m. near the intersection of Tulip Street and Trailing Drive, which is between I-805 and CA-15.
Police say they found the victim injured in the roadway. He died after transport to a local hospital.
An investigation is underway to identify the victim and locate the driver involved in the hit-and-run fatality.
