SAN DIEGO, CA – A pedestrian died early Monday when they were hit by a vehicle in the Stockton area.
According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, the victim was hit while walking in the eastbound lanes of SR-94 just west of the I-805 interchange.
The driver of the gray Volkswagen involved in the crash contacted CHP right away. The victim was found dead in the far right lane of the freeway.
The identities of those involved are being withheld pending further investigation. All eastbound lanes of the freeway were closed for some time following the deadly crash while crews worked to clear the scene.
