SAN DIEGO CO., CA – A driver was taken into custody following a police chase and resulting crash in Encanto early this morning.
According to KGTV, the pursuit ensued in the Paradise Hills neighborhood at about 12:15 a.m. when officers attempted to stop a black Lexus and the vehicle drove off.
The chase lasted for several minutes before the Lexus struck a spike strip on 65th Street and rolled for several blocks. The vehicle came to rest after crashing into a parked truck, electrical box, and a wall.
Officers located and arrested the suspect a short time later. It is unclear what charges they will face at this time.
No one was reportedly injured in the crash.
