RANCHO PENASQUITOS, CA – A rollover crash in Rancho Penasquitos left a driver with serious injuries on Sunday night, ABC 10 San Diego reports.
The crash occurred around 6:45 p.m. along the 10100 block of Carmel Mountain Road. The driver was travelling westbound in a 2001 Ford Explorer when he lost control of his vehicle and it flipped over.
The 38-year-old man sustained serious injuries to his left arm that required it to be amputated above the elbow. He is expected to survive.
No other vehicles were involved. It is not clear what caused him to lose control.
