RANCHO SAN DIEGO, CA – An accident in East County left one person dead and another injured on Friday evening, the San Diego Union Tribune reports.
The accident occurred at the intersection of state Route 94 and Via Mercado around 6:10 p.m.
The victim was travelling west on a 2003 Honda Shadow when he collided with a vehicle driven by a 56-year-old woman driving a 2017 Jaguar F-Pace.
The motorcyclist and his passenger were thrown from their bike. The motorcyclist, a 58-year-old man, was rushed to the hospital where he later passed away.
His passenger, a 54-year-old, suffered serious injuries.
