SAN DIEGO, CA – Multiple lanes of I-15 were closed this morning following a crash just south of Escondido, according to CalTrans.
The collision took place at about 8:15 a.m. in the freeway’s southbound express lanes near the Via Rancho Parkway.
SB I-15 Express Lanes at Via Rancho Pkwy, left two lanes blocked due to a collision.

Few details concerning the cause of the crash, and the number of vehicles involved, are available at this time. However, photos from the scene show traffic backed up in both directions for some time afterward.
