News: San Diego man killed after Spring Valley accident

SPRING VALLEY, CA – A man from San Diego was killed early Friday morning after stricking a box truck on the side of the road, East County Magazine reports. 

The victim, a 27-year-old man, was driving a black Toyota sedan when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a box truck that had stopped on the side of the road for a flat tire.

The collision occurred along I-15 northbound near Friars Road around 1 a.m. on Friday. The Toyota driver became trapped in his vehicle and sustained fatal injuries.

The box truck driver, a 25-year-old man, was pinned against his truck and injured.
