News: Santee motorcycle crash victim dies at hospital

SANTEE, CA – Authorities have announced the death of a motorcyclist who was hurt in a single-vehicle crash earlier this month in Santee, reports Fox 5 San Diego.

The incident happened on January 13th on Woodside Avenue, just east of Magnolia Avenue and west of Padre Dam Park.

Police say the 33-year-old motorcyclist lost control of his bike and crashed in the roadway. The force of the collision threw him from his motorcycle.

Medics transported the victim to a local hospital, where he died on January 15th. Authorities identified him as Matthew Wellington from Lakeside.
