News: Single-car crash kills 1, injures 1 in Rancho Santa Fe

RANCHO SANTA FE, CA – A driver died at the scene, and a passenger went to the hospital after a car crash in Rancho Santa Fe on Sunday, reports abc 10 News San Diego.  

The incident happened around 10:34 p.m. on Via de la Valle near the Morgan Run Club and Resort in the Osuna Valley.

The investigation indicates that a Toyota Camry veered off of Via de la Valle and caught fire after hitting a tree.

Police have not yet released the identity of the driver.

Medics transported the passenger in the sedan to the burn unit at a local hospital.

A full investigation is underway to determine what might have caused the accident.
