News: Single-car crash kills 1 on I-5 in Oceanside

OCEANSIDE, CA – A 20-year-old woman died Wednesday morning when her car crashed along the interstate in Oceanside, reports Times of San Diego.

The incident happened around 6:15 a.m. on the northbound side of I-5, just south of Oceanside Boulevard and southwest of Goat Hill Park. 

Police say the woman’s Nissan Altima left the roadway, fell down an embankment, and overturned. The victim died at the scene of the crash.

Authorities aren’t yet sure what caused the woman to lose control of her vehicle. The do not suspect intoxication at this time. A full investigation is underway.
