News: Single-car crash kills 1 on Old Hwy 80 in Pine Valley

PINE VALLEY, CA – A 27-year-old man died Thursday afternoon after crashing his vehicle along the highway in Pine Valley, reports Fox 5 San Diego.

The incident happened around 2:20 p.m. just west of Buckman Springs Road on Old Highway 80, which runs alongside Interstate 8.

The investigation thus far indicates that the driver of a westbound 2019 F350 pickup truck veered to the right as the road curved to the left, left the roadway, and overturned after hitting a tree.

Police aren’t sure why the man lost control of his vehicle. They say he died at the scene of the crash.
