CHULA VISTA, CA – A middle-aged man died Wednesday morning after losing control of his SUV and crashing into a tree in Chula Vista, reports Times of San Diego.
The incident happened just before 6 a.m. on Old Highway 80 near Pine Boulevard, which is in front of the Pine Valley Elementary School.
Police say the man was speeding when he veered off of the roadway and hit a stump. The man died at the scene of the accident.
A full investigation is underway.
