SAN DIEGO, CA – A man was seriously injured when he was hit by a vehicle while riding his skateboard in Point Loma Heights on Monday night.
According to Fox 5 San Diego, the skateboarder rode through the stop sign at Guizot Street and Orchard Avenue at about 10:20 a.m. and was hit by a Toyota Prius.
The skater, a 28-year-old man, was sent to the hospital with an open fracture to his left arm.
Investigators do not believe impairment played a role in the crash.
