SAN DIEGO CO., CA – A single-vehicle crash in North County claimed the life of a teen driver on Tuesday afternoon.
According to a report by Fox 5 San Diego, the 17-year-old driver lost control of his Lexus RX SUV on Caramel Canyon Road near Del Mar Heights Road at about 3 p.m.
The Lexus veered off the roadway and slammed into a tree before it caught fire.
The teen, whose identity is being withheld, was pronounced dead at the scene. No addiotnial injuries were reported as a result of the collision.
