News: Truck strikes wall in El Cajon, passenger killed

EL CAJON, CA – One person was killed after a pickup truck crashed into a retaining wall in El Cajon on Monday morning, ABC 10 reports. 

The accident occurred around 2 a.m. on Monday along the 1500 block of Greenfield Drive. The driver of a 2020 black Chevrolet Silverado truck lost control as she drove westbound.

The driver, a 37-year-old woman, then struck a wall and a power pole in front of a home. Both the driver and a passenger, a 45-year-old man, were hospitalized with serious injuries.

The man later passed away at the hospital. The driver is expected to survive.

At this time it is not clear what caused the crash.
