News Update: 3rd victim dies following wrong-way crash in Mission Beach

SAN DIEGO, CA – Police have identified a third victim of a deadly head-on crash in Mission Beach over the weekend.

According to Fox 5, Suzanne Thompson, 59, of Nevada was a passenger in the Kia that was struck head-on by a Ford SUV heading the wrong-way on Mission Avenue.

Police say that prior to the crash, the Ford’s driver, 62-year-old Andrew Small, suffered a medical emergency, causing him to lose control of his vehicle and drift into the oncoming lanes. Small and his 70-year-old wife were also killed in the crash.

The condition of the Kia’s driver is not mentioned in the report.
