News: Victim of head-on crash in San Marcos identified

SAN MARCOS, CA – Authorities have identified the 53-year-old man who died last Thursday in a collision on South Rancho Santa Fe Road.

According to Fox 5 San Diego, Juan Camacho of Ontario died when a northbound 2016 Jeep Cherokee struck his southbound 2008 Lincoln MKZ head-on near the intersection with La Colusa Drive.

The medical examiner identified the cause of Camacho’s death as blunt force injuries.

The driver of the Jeep sustained minor injuries in the crash.

Police have not shared any additional details about what might have caused the driver of the Jeep to lose control of his vehicle.

The investigation is ongoing.
