SAN DIEGO, CA – A pedestrian accident on National City this morning claimed the life of one woman, Fox 5 San Diego reports.
The woman was hit while attempting to cross Highland Avenue near the 16th Street intersection at about 6:15 a.m.
The woman, whose identity is being withheld at this time, died at the scene. Police say she was walking outside of a designated crosswalk when the fatal incident occurred.
The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
