EAST COUNTY, CA – A woman suffered serious injuries after becoming trapped in her vehicle in an East County crash, the Times of San Diego reports.
The accident occurred on Jamacha Road shortly before noon on Saturday.
The victim was driving a Toyota when she was struck by another vehicle as she attempted to make a turn. The crash flipped the Toyota on its side and trapped the driver.
First responders spent half an hour working to free the victim. She was then rushed to Sharp Memorial Hospital.
One other victim was also hospitalized.
