LA MESA, CA – The driver of a Ford Mustang and her passenger sustained serious injuries Friday in a two-car crash in La Mesa, reports CBS 8.
The incident happened around 4:35 p.m. at Lake Murry Boulevard and Dallas Street, which is just north of Jackson Park.
Police say that the 49-year-old driver of the 1966 Ford Mustang was driving on the wrong side of the road when her vehicle collided with a 2008 Subaru Impreza.
Medics transported the driver of the Mustang and her 19-year-old passenger to a local hospital. Both women sustained various bone fractures, and the driver suffered internal bleeding and a head injury.
The driver of the Subaru was not hurt in the crash, but his vehicle was badly damaged.
Authorities suspect the driver of the Mustang may have been impaired at the time of the crash.
A full investigation is underway.
